Ours is a modern, organised and successful company that provides high-quality functional products to its customers. It operates within the Plastoform group and has a rich tradition, as its beginnings date back to 1974. Throughout this period we have devoted a great deal of attention to creativity and innovativeness, which has undoubtedly contributed to our company becoming the leading Slovenian company for the production and processing of polymers and cast acrylic glass sheets. The latter are not only distinguished by their elegance, but reflect the world around them with their brilliance and exceptional harmony of colours.

Cooperation, Development and Innovativeness

Cooperation

Our vision is to develop the primary activity of the development, production and marketing of advanced polymer materials of the highest quality and create an innovative environment, which is reflected in innovative applicative solutions.
Our developmental department is actively cooperating with local and foreign partners:

  • Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the University of Ljubljana in studies of the combustibility of acrylic glass,
  • Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the University of Maribor in training an early stage researcher,
  • Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana,
  • Nanotesla Institute in the development of solid coatings and nano incombustible materials,
  • University of Nova Gorica in postgraduate studies,
  • developmental departments of other companies such as Belinka, Chemcolor, Helios, National Institute of Chemistry, Lotrič, d. o. o., Merck, Mitol, Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute etc.

As co-founders of the PoliMaT Center of Excellence we have also strengthened cooperation within the centre. We are developing our cooperation with knowledge centres also through other forms of cooperation, such as sponsoring the activities of students and enabling visits and viewings of production.

Development and Innovativeness

At Akripol we encourage new ideas and thoughts, while at the same time creating a unique system for developing innovativeness. We are distinguished by a team spirit, trust and cooperation from all employees, who are talented in the field of innovation and who are further developing this potential.
We have applied two Slovenian patents entitled Samočistilni premaz (Self-Cleaning Coating) and Trdi premaz (Solid Coating), and two European patents, namely Reciklirana lita akrilna plošča z granitnim izgledom (Recycled Cast Acrylic Sheet with a Granite Look) and Akrilno steklo z nanopolnilom (Acrylic Glass with Nanofiller). We have successfully applied five innovations.
Under the improvement process or TIPs we are deliberately promoting an atmosphere of innovativeness and the creation of new ideas through several parallel activities. This way we are creating and improving the relationships among employees. All employees can submit their ideas to the Akripol idea bin.

Artistic Projects

The company is aware of the importance of participating in various projects with which we can express and present our breadth. Our artistic projects show Akripol's multi-layered character and infinite capabilities and curiosity. We see the greatest challenge in making our artistic products from materials that are normally used only in production. This way we can give way to imagination and creativity. We are participating in various calls for tenders and working with various Slovenian artists and architects.


Quality

The quality of work processes and consequently of the products made is one of the strategic directions of the company. The basic aim of our company is the quality manufacture of products that satisfy the needs and demands of customers, while constantly caring for a healthy and safe environment. Development, manufacture and marketing are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the international ISO 9001:2008 quality standard.
Our company wishes to follow only the best, which is why we do quality work in all areas. By this means we are managing and improving our business operations and increasing the satisfaction of our customers.
