Acrylic Binding Resins

Aglas Akrilne vezivne smole

AKSA are acrylic binding resins that are used in combination with various fillers for producing high-quality products in construction and elsewhere.

Safety

akrilnevezivnesmole varnost

Aksa acrylic resins contain methylmethacrylate (MMA) as the reactive solvent, which is a flammable liquid with a flash point of 10°C. When exposed to air, explosive mixtures are formed when MMA content is between 2.1 and 12.5%. The vapours are heavier than air. For occupational safety the use of gloves and safety goggles is necessary; in the case of larger quantities also face masks, rubber boots and rubber protective clothing.

When carrying out manipulation with acrylic resins, during which greater emissions of MMA vapours occur, one must ensure appropriate local vacuuming near the floor and general ventilation. Where greater emissions could occur, all ignition sources must be prevented. In such zones, electrical devices must be explosion-proof. MMA is not toxic, yet it is irritant. In workplaces where emissions occur one must prevent the exceeding of the limit value.

All the data have been presented in good faith of their reliability, yet Akripol shall not assume any responsibility.
